    Elite

The "Elite" restaurant started off as an open-air cafe in the 1940's. Back then, it was owned by a Frenchman and a Greek, and it served delicious ham and cheese sandwiches, according to the actual owner, Mme Christina, a well-known Alexandrian figure. She has been running the place since 1953 when she bought it. Over the time, Mme Christine has added an indoor restaurant to the terrace. It serves a selection of Oriental and Occidental specialties at very fair prices.

    Housni Grill

If you’ve had all the fish and seafood you can take on your Alexandrian trip, but still found yourself wandering hungry around the Anfushi quarter, Housni Grill is the place to hit. This semi-outdoor restaurant is all about chicken, kebabs and meat. The prices are fair, and everything comes with a nice garnish of vegetables, salad and rice.
