Nestled amidst the biggest Mediterranean coast real estate project, the Golf Porto Marina 18-hole championship golf course is equally excellent for beginners and golf professionals. One of the main attractions of this course is the grass itself, a salt-tolerant “paspalum grass” that is used on this green – for the first time in Egypt – to preserve fresh water. This particular type of grass is also known to ease the putting and give the ball a better roll.
Initially built on an arid desert area, the Porto Marina Golf course boasts today 750 palm trees and 3 artificial lakes that have come to attract different bird and wildlife species. A golf academy is available on-site and it grants certificates to the players that complete training courses at the academy. The course is opened to hotel guests, daily fee golfers, and tourist groups.
After a round of golf, you can relax at the Porto Marina Spa, the facility includes an indoor pool, a steam bath, a sauna, a fully-equipped gym and offers a wide variety of treatments and packages.
